Vibika Bianchi has been with Corus for 10 years and has led the Original Programming strategy for the women’s channels since 2006 with the family channels added in 2013. This portfolio consists of 7 networks including W Network, CMT (Canada), OWN (Canada), CosmoTV and ABC Spark. Vibika’s mandate is to contribute to the growth of Corus Television through top quality Canadian programming working closely with producers, talent, advertisers and international broadcasters alike. Highlights include strong US broadcaster partnerships and being a key player in the launch and growth of several networks including Viva and OWN Canada.
With Corus’ Original Programming reaching audiences in Canada, the US and abroad, some of Vibika’s notable successes include W Network’s series Property Brothers, Love It or List It, Undercover Boss Canada, Cupcake Girls and recently, the hit Olympic adjacent docusoap series Tessa & Scott. These titles are among the original series credited for W’s ongoing leadership in the marketplace.
Vibika’s accomplishments as VP Original Programming extend to OWN (Canada) with series like Million Dollar Neighbourhood, Devil You Know and Anna & Kristina’s Grocery Bag; and to CMT with Burger Wars(aka Best In Chow) and soon to launch Mom’s A Medium.
Vibika also lends her expertise to several external industry initiatives such as the advisory committee for Centennial College’s Radio, Film & TV program and The Banff festival’s non-fiction advisory board.
Prior to Corus, Vibika leant her diverse talents in scripted and unscripted programming to various production companies and broadcasters, being part of successes such as CBC’s Davinci’s Inquest. She also earned a Gemini for her part in producing CTV movie of the week Milgaard.
