Andrew Whitney serves as Director of Alternative Development for Syfy. In this role, he is involved in both development and current production, developing pitches, presentations, pilots, specials, and series. He is an instrumental part of a team that oversees more than 100 hours of television a year with series including Face Off, Ghost Hunters, Paranormal Witness, Exit, Deep South Paranormal, Haunted Highway,and Haunted Collector. Prior to joining Syfy in 2011, he was Manager of Development at CMT where he was involved with many successful series such as Bayou Billionaires, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Sweet Home Alabama, Gone Country, Trick My Truck, and Can You Duet.
