David Eilenberg serves as senior vice president of unscripted development for TBS and TNT, overseeing all unscripted original programming for the networks.
Since joining the company in July 2012, Eilenberg has supervised the development of such series as TNT's Cold Justice, a real life crime series which just returned for a second season this January, APB with Troy Dunn, a new real-life investigation series and Boston’s Finest which recently wrapped its second season. Among the many other shows he is developing for TNT is the docudrama Private Lives of Nashville Wives, the makeover series S.O.B. (Save Our Business), the hiring competition series Inside Job that are all premiering this February. Additional programs in development include the motivational unscripted series Wake Up Call (working title) headlined by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and On The Menu from Mark Burnett which will be the first cooking show to give viewers the chance to taste the winning dish after every episode.
TBS's slate of unscripted projects includes the competition series King of the Nerds, which will kick off its second season in January 2014 as well as Deal With It, which was renewed for a second season. Eilenberg is also overseeing development on TBS's upcoming series, Bam's Bad Ass Game Show as well as CeeLo Green’s The Good Life starring CeeLo Green.
Eilenberg came to TBS and TNT after serving as head of development and current programming for Mark Burnett Productions, working on such popular series as The Voice, The Apprentice and Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?, which earned him a Daytime Emmy nomination.
Prior to joining Mark Burnett Productions full time, Eilenberg was a producer on several of the company's series, as well as online projects with AOL. In addition, Eilenberg served as co-creator of Dismissed, head writer on Weakest Link and writer on Da Ali G Show.
Eilenberg is based is Los Angeles and reports to Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies.
