A&E

Amy Savitsky joined A&E Network in 2015 as Senior Vice President of Programming. Savitsky is responsible for driving development and production of A&E’s nonfiction, alternative and reality series. Among the programs she oversees are the Emmy Award®-winning Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, Marcia Clark Investigates The First 48, and A&E Investigates: Cults and Extreme Beliefs.

Savitsky joined A&E after more than a decade at Discovery Communications, where she served as Senior Vice President of Development for TLC. She oversaw the day-to-day management of the network’s development team, managed key relationships in the production community and supervised the editorial, budgetary and delivery components of the development process.  Among the franchises launched under her tenure are Breaking Amish and My 600lb Life.  

Prior to TLC Savitsky was Vice President, Development for Discovery Channel where her credits included Alaska: The Last Frontier, Property Wars and Swamp Brothers.  She also managed the team responsible for series development. Savitsky also held development roles at Discovery Health Channel.  Previously, she worked for DreamWorks SKG as a story editor.

Savitsky holds an MA in Film from American University and an undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Virginia.
