Jennifer McGovern joined Fuse Media in the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Current and Development last summer. Ms. McGovern is based in the company’s Los Angeles office and reports to Chief Content Officer, J-T Ladt. Fuse Media is a cross-platform entertainment media brand for multicultural youth.
Ms. McGovern is responsible for all original content development and production as well as the generation of new original content strategies. She is in charge of identifying new material, partners and opportunities for long and short-form original programming for Fuse Media’s diverse content platforms.
Most recently, Ms. McGovern was responsible for the development of all VH1 East Coast original unscripted programming and led the East Coast development team (Black Ink Crew Chicago, Safeword, VH1 Live!). Previously she was with Oxygen where she served as director of development and production, working on such series as The Glee Project, I’m Having Their Baby, Funny Girls and Nail’d It! Prior to Oxygen, McGovern was manager of alternative series at TLC, working on Sarah Palin’s Alaska, Brace For Impact: The Chesley B. Sullenberger Story and Police Women Of Broward County. Earlier she worked as manager of development at Fox TV Studios. Ms. McGovern started her career as a Page in the NBC Page Program.
