Brie Miranda Bryant is Senior Vice President, Unscripted Development and Programming for Lifetime. Currently, Bryant is overseeing production on the untitled R. Kelly documentary series that will shine a light on the women who are speaking out about their relationship with the mega R&B star. Other shows under Bryant’s privy include the upcoming docuseries The Brave with Gretchen Carlson and Seatbelt Psychic.
Prior to joining Lifetime, Bryant was SVP, Development and Production for BET Networks, managing the east and west coast teams on all aspects of development and production. Prior, Bryant was Vice President Development and Production NBC Universal’s Oxygen network, where she spent over a decade growing the network’s programming slate. During her tenure, Bryant’s oversaw several hit shows such as Bad Girls Club, The Preachers franchise, The Prancing Elites Project, Sisterhood of Hip Hop, My Crazy Love, It Takes a Sister, Snapped: Killer Couples, Snapped: #Killerpost and Jersey Couture. Bryant began her career at Oxygen as a development assistant in 2004 and later served as the co-chair of the NBCU Diversity Council.
Prior to Oxygen, Bryant worked in publishing at Teen Vogue and in the film sector at the Tribeca Film Festival and on Martin Scorsese’s The Blues. Bryant earned a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communications from Southern Connecticut State University and a Masters of Media Studies from New York University. Bryant participated in the CTF Leadership Management Program at Harvard and is the recipient of Cablefax’s Most Influential Minorities in Cable in 2014 and 2015. Bryant was also recognized for a Gracie Award for the programming initiative and branding campaign for TRESStify!
