Jeff Apploff is the President and CEO of Apploff Entertainment, a cutting edge production company that specializes in creating, developing and producing world-class content and groundbreaking formats around the world. The company is well respected for its consistent work with all of the top broadcast networks, as well as creating and packaging custom content for world- renowned mobile apps, celebrities and beloved brands.
In 2003, Apploff created an unscripted romantic relationship series entitled, Secret Admirer, which was signed to a development contract with NBC.
In 2005, Apploff created and executive produced an unscripted dramatic comedy series, entitled Face the Family,which premiered on Lifetime Television in 2006.
In 2007, Apploff created and executive produced Don’t Forget the Lyrics!, a primetime network musical game show for FOX. The series was produced in conjunction with RDF USA and Brad Lachman Productions. Wayne Brady hosted. He also sold the series to more than 25 countries.
In 2009, Apploff executive produced Big Saturday Night, a live 3-hour weekly series for GSN, which included games, sketch comedy, and pre-taped packages. Hosted by Keegan-Michael Key.
In 2010, Apploff executive produced Million Dollar Money Drop, a primetime network game show, for FOX. The show was produced in conjunction with Endemol. Kevin Pollack hosted. Apploff also sold Don’t Forget the Lyrics! into syndication to over 95% of the country. The show was produced in conjunction with Twentieth Television and Zodiak. Mark McGrath hosted.
In 2011, Apploff executive produced Total Blackout for SyFy network. Jaleel White hosted.
In 2012, Apploff executive produced the UK smash hit, Take Me Out for FOX. George Lopez hosted. He also created and sold Let’s Ask America into syndication for Scripps Network with Telepictures and Paramedia. The show was hosted by Kevin Pereria and Bill Bellamy.
In 2014, Apploff executive produced BOOM!, a primetime network game show, for FOX. The show was produced alongside Dick Clark Productions and was hosted by comedian, Tom Papa.
In 2015, Apploff created and sold a primetime game show, based on the popular app QuizUp, to NBC. Along with NBC International, Apploff sold the project to 5 other territories, including ITV in the UK and TF1 in France.
Most recently, Apploff created a primetime musical game show based on the one of the most popular apps in the world, and sold the project to FOX in conjunction with Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Voice, Shark Tank).
